A man found dead with a gunshot wound Friday night in the South Side West Englewood neighborhood shot himself, an autopsy found.

The 28-year-old man was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head about 10:30 p.m. at an apartment in the 7000 block of South Paulina, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy Saturday found he died of a gunshot wound to the head, and his death was ruled a suicide.
