An 18-year-old woman was shot Wednesday night in the East Garfield Park neighborhood.

The woman was sitting in a car about 9:20 p.m. in the 3300 block of West Madison when shots were fired and she realized she had been struck in the hand and foot, police said.

She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
