A man was critically injured in a South Chicago drive-by shooting late Friday afternoon.

The 23-year-old was outside about 4:30 p.m. in the 9000 block of South Houston when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

The man was shot in both legs and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, Greer said.
