A 17-year-old boy was shot Wednesday afternoon in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

About 2 p.m., the teen was shot in the leg in the 8600 block of South Racine, police said.

The teen was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition had stabilized, police said.
