Calumet City bank robbed

(CALUMET CITY) Authorities are investigating a bank robbery Monday afternoon in south suburban Calumet City.

The robbery happened about 2:15 p.m. at First Savings Bank of Hegewisch, at 1100 Sibley Blvd. in Calumet City, FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde said.

The suspect is described as a male about 6 feet tall, wearing a red knit hat and gray sweat shirt, Hyde said. FBI agents are responding.
