A 59-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Pilsen neighborhood Monday night.

About 8:30 p.m., Linda Forbes was driving in the 900 block of West 16th Street when another car smashed into her car, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Two people in the second car ran away after the crash, police said.

Forbes was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 9:24 p.m., authorities said. The crash happened near her home in the 1000 block of West 16th Street.

No one was in custody for the crash as of 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.
