Preston Everts didn’t pitch a no-hitter Saturday, but the result was just as good for Waubonsie Valley.
Everts, a senior right-hander, needed just 86 pitches as the defending Upstate Eight Valley champion Warriors eased to a 3-0 victory over Wheaton Warrenville South, next year’s DuPage Valley Conference rival.
