Police are warning residents about a series of burglaries reported last month on the Near West Side.

Throughout April, one or more people have broken into apartments and stolen items inside, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The break-ins occurred:

  • In the 2400 block of West Polk about 1 p.m. on April 10;
  • In the 2700 block of West Flournoy between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on April 20;
  • In the 2400 block of West Flournoy between 7:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on April 24;
  • In the 2400 block of West Harrison at 1:07 p.m. on April 29.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact Area North detectives at (312) 744-8263.
