Teen boy shot in Chicago Lawn

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side Wednesday afternoon.

About 4:35 p.m., the teen was on a porch in the 7100 block of South California when a male, dressed in all black, walked out of a nearby gangway and opened fire, police said. The shooter then ran off.

The teen was shot in the right leg and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, police said.
