After missing the Bears’ voluntary minicamp, running back Matt Forte is back at Halas Hall, taking pictures and sharing them on social media.

“I know it’s great to have him back in the building for sure,” offensive coordinator Matt Forte.

As for tight end Martellus Bennett?

“I haven’t seen him in a while,” Gase said.

Bennett is looking for a new contract, despite having two years remain on his current deal, and has continued to miss the Bears’ voluntary work. The Bears are in the second phase of their offseason training. According to the collective bargaining agreement, on-field workouts and team practices, which don’t feature offense vs. defense drills, are permitted.

Bennett shared a video of himself catching a pass on Instagram early Friday, which included a “TradeBlock” hash-tag in the description. Bennett has been training at Brandon Marshall’s FitSpeed Athletic Performance center in Northbrook. Marshall and Bennett have the same agent.

“He may get traded,” Marshall said Friday on WMVP-AM (1000). “There’s some things going on right now … but I don’t know, I don’t know. Let me stop.”
