Man shot in Chatham

A 19-year-old man was shot following an argument Friday afternoon in the Chatham neighborhood.

About 12:45 p.m., the man was arguing with another male in the 700 block of East 92nd Street, police said. The other person then pulled out a handgun and fired shots, striking the man in the leg.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition had stabilized, police said.

No one is in custody and police added the man is a documented gang member.
