A 21-year-old man who was shot early Saturday in a drive-by attack in the Southwest Side Gage Park neighborhood has died.

Joseph Rivera stopped his car at a light about 2:25 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 51st Street when an SUV pulled up and someone inside started yelling gang slogans and firing a gun, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Rivera, of the 5800 block of South Tripp, was shot in the head and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died at 2:20 p.m. Saturday, according to the medical examiner’s office.
