Much has been made about Caitlyn Jenner receiving the Arthur Ashe Award for courage at the upcoming ESPY’s on July 15.

Some think it’s a brilliant move, others find it nothing more than a publicity stunt.

Bob Costas is in the latter camp.

The legendary announcer appeared on “The Dan Patrick Show” to talk about a variety of topics. Patrick asked about Jenner receiving the Ashe Award. As always, Costas was measured with his comments, but he used words such as “crass,” “exploitative” and “tabloid” in describing ESPN’s choice to honor Jenner.
