The White Sox and Cubs are honoring their late legends Friday by wearing 1950s throwback uniforms for the first game of the crosstown series at U.S. Cellular Field.

The Cubs will honor Hall of Famer Ernie Banks, who died Jan. 23 in Chicago. The Sox are honoring Minnie Minoso, who died in March, and Billy Pierce, who died last month.

Every White Sox player will wear uniform No. 9 to honor Banks, and they’ll also wear patches with Pierce’s No. 19 on them.
