Libertyville police are looking for a person suspected of robbing a car wash Monday morning in the north suburb.

A male forced his way into the Car Spa at 540 Peterson Rd. just before 7 a.m. as an employee was unlocking doors to start the business day, implying he had a weapon, police said. He ran away westbound and made off with about $850.

No other employees or customers were present and the employee was not injured, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male with a medium build, bald or with a shaved head, standing between 5-feet-6 and 5-feet-8, police said. He was seen wearing a black jacket with “POLO” written on it with a black hood over his head.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call Libertyville police at (847) 362-8310.
