A man was shot Thursday afternoon in the South Side Washington Heights neighborhood.

The shooting happened at 12:51 p.m. in the 9100 block of South Laflin, according to Chicago Police.

The 21-year-old was shot in the hand and was taken in good condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
