A man was shot Sunday afternoon in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The 24-year-old was in the 5000 block of West Chicago just before 3 p.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was in the ankle and taken in good condition to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, police said.
