Police hope a member of the public can help identify a man found unconscious at a bus stop on Monday in Austin. | Chicago Police

A man found unconscious Monday at a bus stop in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side has been identified.

The man was found at a bus stop near Central Avenue and Jackson Boulevard, according to Chicago Police. He was taken to Loretto Hospital for treatment, where later regained consciousness, but was unable to communicate. He was fingerprinted, but the results were negative.

Police released a photo of the man to the public Saturday afternoon to help identify him and said later that he was identified.
