Police are warning residents of a string of burglaries over the past two weeks in the Lake View neighborhood on the North Side.

The burglaries occurred:

  • at 6:45 p.m. Jan. 29 in the 1300 block of West Eddy Street;
  • between 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Feb. 2 in the 1300 block of West Eddy Street;
  • between 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Feb. 5 in the 3200 block of North Clifton Avenue;
  • between 10 p.m. Feb. 5 and 7 a.m. Feb. 6 in the 3300 block of North Halsted Street;
  • between 2 a.m. – 3 a.m. Feb. 7 in the 1100 block of West Addison Street; and
  • between 5:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. Feb. 15 in the 1200 block of West Melrose Street.

In each incident, the suspect or suspects used force to enter the home and took property, police said.
