A 34-year-old man has been charged with burglarizing a Commonwealth Edison facility in southwest suburban Yorkville more than a year ago.

The facility in the 11000 block of Corneils Road in unincorporated Yorkville was forcibly entered and numerous tools were stolen on Aug. 25, 2014, according to a statement from the Kendall County sheriff’s office.

On Dec. 31, 2015, John Martinez was charged with one felony count of burglary, according to the sheriff’s office. He turned himself in at the Kendall County Jail on Jan. 20.

Martinez, of Westmont, was ordered held on a $25,000 bond.
