Thieves are stealing Ford Econoline vans parked in the Beverly and Morgan Park neighborhoods. | Chicago Police

Several Ford Econoline vans parked on residential streets have been stolen recently from the Beverly and Morgan Park neighborhoods on the Far South Side.

The suspects target the vans because of the tools and equipment they usually have inside, according to a community alert from Area South detectives. The thefts usually happen between 12-7:30 a.m.

The thefts happened:

-between Jan. 29-30 in the 10500 block of South Artesian;

-on Jan. 28 in the 9800 block of South Damen;

-on Jan. 28 in the 9700 block of South Seeley; and

-on Dec. 1 in the 11400 block of South Talman.
