Authorities are searching for a 69-year-old north suburban man who went missing Monday morning from his home in unincorporated Antioch Township.

Family members last saw Zbigniew “Zeke” Kowal about 10 a.m. when he drove away from his home in the 25700 block of West Florence Avenue in a red 1999 Ford Econoline van, according to the Lake County sheriff’s office.

The van has a gray stripe on each of its sides and Illinois license plates of EB7212, sheriff’s police said.

The 6-feet, 160-pound white man with brown hair and brown eyes was wearing an orange Chicago Bears jacket, a blue denim shirt, blue jeans and brown loafers, police said.

Kowal — who used to live in the Wood Dale, Chicago and Bensenville areas — left without his cellphone and his medication, police said.

Anyone with information should call sheriff’s police at (847) 377-4000 or dial 911.
