A 16-year-old boy was shot Sunday afternoon in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

The boy was shot in the leg about 2 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Bishop, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Comers Children’s Hospital in fair condition, police said.

The circumstances of the shooting weren’t immediately known.
