A 37-year-old man was hospitalized Saturday night after someone came up and shot him several times in the torso as he stood on the sidewalk in the 3400 block of West Harrison Street in East Garfield Park on the city’s West Side, according to the police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, they said.
