Two businesses in the same block have been robbed at gunpoint in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The two businesses were robbed at 12:05 p.m. on Feb. 16 and 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 24 in the 5400 block of West Harrison Street, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

In both robberies, two to three men enter the store and demand money from the register or safe, police said.

The robbers are described as black men, 30 to 40 years of age, standing 5-foot-9 to 6-foot, weighing 200-230 pounds and armed with a black semi-automatic handgun, police said.
