A 17-year-old boy was shot early Sunday in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

He was walking on the sidewalk at 1:05 a.m. in the 4000 block of West 26th Street when he heard shots and realized that he had been hit in the left thigh, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
