A man was shot and critically wounded in the West Garfield Park neighborhood Wednesday evening.

The 21-year-old collapsed on a porch about 5:47 p.m. in the 200 block of South Pulaski after he was shot several times, police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
