Boy, 14, shot in Austin

A 14-year-old boy was shot in the West Side Austin neighborhood Monday night.

About 7:10 p.m., the teen was walking outside in the 5600 block of West West End when someone walking nearby opened fire, striking him in the right foot, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
