A 38-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday morning in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

About 4:45 a.m., Raygene Jackson got into a fight with someone who then pulled out a gun and shot him in the back of the head in the 4500 block of West Maypole, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Jackson was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he died at 1:07 p.m., authorities said. He lived in the 1200 block of South Kildare.

No one was in custody for the shooting Sunday afternoon.
