A man has been charged with DUI after he suffered serious injuries in a crash early Saturday in west suburban Naperville.

Lucas Johnson, 23, was driving a 1999 Mitsubishi Galant north on Rickert Drive approaching Sanctuary Lane when he lost control and the car left the road and struck a tree, according to a statement from Naperville police.

Johnson was taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville with serious injuries, police said. He was later charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage.
