A man was shot and critically wounded Sunday night in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The 18-year-old was was driving about 9:25 p.m. and had exited a parking lot in the 5100 block of South Calumet, when a male walking nearby fired shots at the man’s vehicle on the street, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
