A man died after being found with a gunshot wound early Monday in the Scottsdale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Adam Furtick, 34, was found about 1:15 a.m. inside a vehicle in the 4300 block of West 79th Street, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He had been shot in the abdomen and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 6:15 a.m., authorities said. Furtick lived in southwest suburban Bridgeview.
