A 24-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting Sunday evening in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

About 8 p.m., the man was in the 1400 block of North Latrobe when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken with a gunshot wound to the head to Stroger Hospital, police said. He was in critical condition.
