A man was killed in a drive-by shooting Tuesday morning in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

At 10:16 a.m., 25-year-old Earron D. Moore was standing near the street in the 700 block of North Lawndale when someone fired shots at him from a passing vehicle, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Moore was shot at least once in the back and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:57 a.m. Wednesday, authorities said. He lived in the University Village neighborhood on the Near West Side.

Area North detectives were investigating.
