Man, 34, shot in Austin

A man was shot Wednesday evening in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 34-year-old was standing outside about 6:25 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Latrobe when he heard gunshots and felt pain, Chicago Police said.

He suffered a gunshot wound to his right thigh, and was taken to Stroger Hospital, police said. His condition had stabilized.
