Two women were shot Thursday night in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

A 44-year-old woman was on a porch at 8:11 p.m. in the 3000 block of West Lexington when someone fired from a vehicle as it drove by, Chicago Police said.

She was taken to Mount Sinai Hopsital in serious condition with a gunshot wound to her head, police said.

A second victim, a 37-year-old woman, later showed up at Saint Anthony Hospital with a gunshot wound to her foot from the same shooting, police said. Additional information was not immediately available.
