A 14-year-old girl who went missing more than a month ago from the South Side Woodlawn neighborhood has been found safe.

Kiara Jones had been missing since Aug. 8 from the 6600 block of South Vernon, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

On Saturday, police said Jones had been located and was safe, but did not provide additional information.
