A man was wounded in a shooting Tuesday night on the Near West Side.

The 28-year-old was riding a bike about 7:25 p.m. in the 100 block of North Hoyne when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been struck in his hip, according to Chicago police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating.
