A man was shot in his head Saturday afternoon in the Vittum Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 32-year-old was standing in an alley when he heard shots and felt pain at 3:58 p.m. in the first block of South Leclaire, according to Chicago police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area North detectives were investigating.
