Bears coach Matt Nagy said receiver Anthony Miller did some “running around” in a light practice Monday as he recovers from a dislocated shoulder suffered last month against the Cardinals.

While the Bears don’t have to submit an injury report until Wednesday, they made Miller off-limits to the media — consistent with their policy for a player who doesn’t practice in full.

Nagy said it won’t be too much of a challenge for Miller, who was inactive for the Buccaneers game, to play with a harness designed to keep his shoulder in the socket.

“The biggest part or issue would be probably extending his arms into the air to try to reach, and it would prevent him from that,” Nagy said. “But there’s the balance of making sure he’s safe and healthy enough to do that with the brace. So he’ll be fine. He’s pretty tough.”

Miller has eight catches on 11 targets for 60 yards and one touchdown in three games.

Film shortage

Ordinarily, teams perform a “self-scout” during bye weeks, trying to determine their own play-calling tendencies before other teams notice. That was less effective than usual last week, Nagy said, because the Bears had only four games’ worth of tape.

“The library of tendencies isn’t as high as what you might normally think,” he said. “You kind of have a feel and idea of what you think you’re going to see. So for the most part, I think for us, we didn’t go too crazy with the self-scout part of it just because of that. We went more into how can we prepare for Miami, and then what are the minor things, if any, that we feel like we need to change, game plan-specific.”

This and that

The Bears put outside Iinebacker Sam Acho on injured reserve with the season-ending pectoral problem he suffered against the Bucs. With the open slot, they signed offensive lineman Bryan Witzmann, whom the Vikings cut two days ago. Witzmann started 13 games at left guard for Nagy’s Chiefs’ last year.

“It’ll be a good addition to our O-line room,” Nagy said.

• Nagy said cornerback Prince Amukamara, who missed the Bucs game with a hamstring injury, did a similar amount of light work as Miller.

“We’ll give them a couple days here and be able to evaluate them,” Nagy said. “And get the pads on and kind of see exactly where they’re at.”

• The Bears will wear orange jerseys Sunday for the first time since 2011. The offense wore orange jerseys — which are usually reserved for quarterbacks — in practice Monday to simulate Sunday’s attire.
