A man was wounded in a shooting Saturday evening in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 28-year-old was walking when he heard shots and felt pain shot in his thigh at 6:49 p.m. in the 3300 block of West Washington Boulevard, according to Chicago police.

He was shot in his thigh and was taken by ambulance to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he was in good condition, police said.

Area North detectives were investigating.
