A man was wounded in a shooting Sunday morning in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

At 11:36 a.m., the 27-year-old was sitting on a porch in the 6000 block of South Carpenter when someone shot him in the thigh, according to Chicago police.

He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area South detectives were investigating.
