A man was shot Thursday morning in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 39-year-old was struck in the right shoulder about 6:30 a.m. while walking in the 4700 block of West Madison, according to Chicago Police.

He showed up at Loretto Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
