A 20-year-old woman was sexually abused Thursday morning in the North Side’s Ravenswood Manor neighborhood.

The woman was on the CTA Brown Line’s Francisco platform about 10:35 a.m. when a man approached and engaged her in conversation, Chicago Police said.

He then grabbed her from behind and inappropriately touched her, police said. The person fled with the woman’s wallet and cellphone.

The woman was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital for observation, police said.

The person in the incident was described as a black man, between 18 and 25 years old, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-11, and between 150 and 180 pounds, police said.

He had red or auburn-colored dreadlocks, and was wearing a red sweatsuit with a white and black insignia in front, police said.
