A woman was injured after a shot was fired Monday morning in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The shooting happened at 5:12 a.m. in the 3500 block of West Dickens, according to Chicago Police.

Police initially reported the 33-year-old woman had suffered a graze wound to the face while sitting in a parked vehicle. Further investigation determined she was not shot, but had been injured by flying debris.

She transported herself to Norwegian American Hospital in good condition, police said.

Area North detectives were investigating the shooting.
