A 37-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday in Homan Square on the West Side.

About 9 p.m., Lyndon A. Johnson was standing on the sidewalk in the 3300 block of West Harrison Street, when two males got out of a red 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse and fired several shots at him, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. The men then got back into the vehicle and sped off.

The man was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he later died, authorities said. He lived in Garfield Park.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
