A man was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon at a McDonald’s restaurant in the South Side Bronzeville neighborhood.

At 4:16 p.m., Deshawn Rogers, 26, was fighting with a male and a female at the McDonald’s at 740 E. 47th St. when one of them pulled out a gun and shot him in the abdomen, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Rogers was taken to University of Chicago Hospital, where he died about an hour later, authorities said. He lived in the Bronzeville neighborhood.

Area Central detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
