A man has died one day after he was wounded in a double shooting in Austin on the West Side.

Two men were on a street about 4:15 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of North Leamington Avenue when someone fired shots, Chicago police said.

Cops nearby heard the gunfire and rushed to the scene, where they found 24-year-old Travell Rodgers facedown and unable to speak, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Paramedics took him in critical condition to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he died the next day on Saturday, authorities said.

A 25-year-old man wounded in the shooting was treated at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, police said. His condition was stabilized.

An autopsy Sunday determined Rodgers, of Lawndale, died of multiple gunshot wounds, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.
