Chicago police are warning residents to ensure their windows are locked at all times following three residential burglaries reported in September in Lake View on the North Side.

In each incident a man entered a residence through an unlocked window during the morning and evening hours, removed property from the home before fleeing, Chicago police said in a community alert.

These burglaries happened Sept. 8 in the 900 block of West Oakdale Avenue and Sept. 24 in the 700 blocks of West Belmont and West Oakdale Avenues, police said.
