A 10-year-old girl who was reported missing from Belmont Central on the Northwest Side has been safely located.

Salihah Benedict was last seen about 5 p.m. April 30 near the 2200 block of North Marmora Avenue, according to a missing persons alert from Chicago police.

Police cancelled the alert about 10:10 a.m., saying Benedict had been safely located.
